The most important thing to remember when writing a CV is clarity. A hiring manager must be able to identify, at a glance, the extent of your experience, your current role and place of work. The presentation of your CV is a reflection of you as a person, your pride in your work and your potential as a future employee. It is important to detail all your responsibilities in your current position, even if you think that these might be obvious and mean that the overview of your current position is longer than one page. Your future employer will appreciate being able to understand your current duties fully before meeting you. If an employer has to guess, or speculate about, details of your experience, more often than not, you will simply lose out to another candidate.
It is imperative that your most recent role is shown first and that it is described in the most detail. The amount of space given to each role on your CV should be in proportion to the time you spent in it, while the emphasis should always lie on the most recent role.
